Growing up in India, many of us have fond memories of playing Ludo at family gatherings, kitty parties, Diwali celebrations, and office events. The excitement of hearing numbers being called, the suspense of waiting for that one missing number, and the joy of shouting "Ludo!" — these moments bring people together like nothing else.
But as life got busier and families spread across cities and countries, those cherished Ludo evenings became harder to organise. We asked ourselves: what if we could bring that same magic to everyone's phone? What if distance was no longer a barrier to playing a game that has united generations of Indian families?
That question became Party Ludo — a free, easy-to-use Android app that lets you play Ludo online with your friends, family, and colleagues, no matter where they are in the world.

Who Runs Party Ludo
Party Ludo is an independent project built and maintained by Aman Prajapati, a full-stack engineer based in India. The platform was launched in early 2024 with the goal of bringing the social game tradition of Ludo (Housie) online in a way that's genuinely useful for kitty groups, extended families and small office teams — not just another mobile game.
Every guide on this website — from the how-to-play tutorial to the host script to the probability-backed tips — is written and reviewed by hosts who have actually run hundreds of Ludo games (online and offline) across kitty parties, Diwali nights, office events and family reunions. We don't outsource content. Mistakes are ours and we fix them publicly.
What We're Not
To be clear about what Party Ludo is and isn't:
- Not a real-money game. No deposits, no withdrawals, no cash prizes inside the platform. Ludo played without stakes is legal across India, and that's the only mode we support.
- Not a gambling site. No betting, no odds-based wagering, no casino features.
- Not affiliated with any other "Ludo" or "Housie" mobile app, website or company. Party Ludo is a standalone independent product.
How We Make Money
Party Ludo is free for users and we intend to keep the core game free forever. To sustain the platform, we may run non-intrusive display advertising on this website (via Google AdSense) and optional in-app rewards in the Android app. We do not sell user data and we do not charge users to play.
