You don't need an account to try it
Most Ludo apps make you sign up before you can see anything. Party Ludo has a Play as Guest button on the first screen — tap it and you are in a game, no email, no phone number, no verification. Progress is saved to that guest profile, and if you later want it kept across devices you can attach an account without losing anything. It is worth knowing if you are trying to get a reluctant relative into a game tonight.
Playing across cities, and on a video call
A private room works the same whether everyone is in one living room or spread across four cities. The pattern most groups settle on is to start a video call — WhatsApp, Meet, whatever the family already uses — and run the Ludo room alongside it on the same phone or a second device. The game handles turns and dice; the call carries the groaning when someone gets captured three squares from home, which is most of the point.
